There are certain properties in which are only available for purchase by those who have been living in Gibraltar for a continuous period of 3 years. These properties consist of those which were constructed with Gibraltar Government funding, built specifically as affordable housing, or those which were previously Government owned properties but have since been released to the private market for private ownership. This is applicable to all persons stated on the purchase agreement. The purchaser's solicitor/conveyancer will ordinarily complete the appliation for consent from Government at the time of sale "subject to contract".
